Try T’ai Chi with Seth Geeslin

  • Curious about T’ai Chi? Seth Geeslin has been teaching the Yang Style Short Form for 13 years and now comes to Dew Yoga so we can try it.
  • 2010-05-07T18:15
  • One hour

This is a no fee class and everyone is welcome, however donations for the teacher are welcome if it is appropriate for you to contribute.

Seth has been practicing T’ai Chi for over 18 years and teaching for 13. This ancient martial arts form gently tones both body and mind. Unlike many other “hard” martial arts that rely on speed and force, T’ai Chi is a soft and focused on the yielding aspect of nature to overcome the hard, much like water can carver through solid rock over time.

Registration is not required but an RSVP is appreciated. If you have any questions, contact us.

Join hundreds of area residents in Stamford”s Cove Island Park to mark the high tide line that is projected to occur due to rising sea levels, unless we individually and collectively take action to reverse the course of climate change.

The Human Tide Line will begin forming at 1:30pm in front of the SoundWaters Coastal Center located in Cove Island Park.

When you register for the event which is free, include that you are part of the group “Dew Yoga” so we can be grouped together. A beach clean-up will follow the Human Tide Line event for those interested.

At 3:00pm a round-table discussion will be held at the SoundWaters Coastal Center about what steps are being taken in Stamford to address global warming in the fields of transportation, energy consumption, and green building.

From 12:00pm to 4:00pm the SoundWaters Coastal Center will be open with environmental exhibits, live animals, and a range of practical steps that you can take in order to become a part of the solution to global warming. The SoundWaters Coastal Education Center is located in Cove Island Park.
Make your mark in the sand by joining together with other community members to call attention to this global environmental crisis and help turn the tide on climate change!
