Dew Yoga 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training

September 15, 2024 – March 16, 2025

A transformative yoga education beyond the poses. Learn to live it and learn to teach it. Our comprehensive curriculum is shared by expert teachers in the sanctuary of community.

What will I learn?

A 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training is the first leg of the journey toward sharing Yoga professionally. Covered topics at this level:

  • History and philosophy of Yoga
  • Asana and it’s physical and energetic alignment
  • Pranayama and the subtle energy body
  • Meditation and mindfulness
  • Anatomy for Yoga
  • Guidance for prenatal and special populations
  • Voice and language skills
  • Sequencing, lesson planning and the business of Yoga
  • Conscious communication and the art of listening
  • A whole lot about yourself

Who are the teachers?

The guides on this journey are Jen Irwin, Ann Russell, Rita Trieger and Lisa Gifford along with expert guest teachers and visits from our house teachers. Trainees in our program are offered volunteer mentors to benefit from their experience at Dew and our prior training programs.

Is this for me?

Applicants need at least 1 year of consistent yoga practice, 2 – 3x/week or at least 6 months practice 3-4x/week
Practice at Dew Yoga or with our teachers is essential for knowing if this training is a good fit for you
Yoga students who have a strong desire to share the gifts of yoga and want to be certified to share it
An intention to teach yoga is not necessary
A desire to dive deep on the path of yoga is needed

How do we spend the 200 hours?

Breakdown of  200 YTT Hours
170 contact hours = in person training, 22 of these contact hours will be live
virtual sessions
50 hours = Minimum of 50 yoga classes with Dew Yoga Teachers virtual or in
person (included in tuition)
3 hours = 3 observations
6 hours = practice teaching sessions with peers or volunteers
3 hours = Small group mentoring sessions for those who plan to teach
Total = 232 Hours Required
Other Time Expectations:
4 Hours – Electives (workshops or specialty classes)
8-10 hours can be expected for homework, research and reading
Expected time commitment – 246 hours Sept 2024 – March 2025

How much does it cost?

Early Registration Tuition $3200 plus tax due by August 1

Regular Tuition $3400 plus tax due by Sept 1st

Discount Available: Pay by check, cash or zelle and save $100 on early or paid in full pricing

Payment Plan: $3600 plus tax 4 Payments of $900 + tax due:

What’s the schedule?

Training sessions are one weekend per month; Friday evening 6-9pm, Saturday 11 – 6pm, Sunday 12 – 5:30pm plus
another Sunday per month plus
1 or 2 evenings per month; Monday or Wednesday 7-9pm sometimes virtual.
