- The Yoga Sūtras of Patanjali are the most widely known text in yoga philosophy. These sūtras are very short and cryptic, so it is important to know how to interpret them and apply them in one’s daily practice. This workshop will begin with the mythical story of Patanjali’s origins and what is known of the historical person. Then we will take a helicopter view of the Yoga Sūtras to understand the major themes of the text and its deeper structure, and see its usefulness as a practical guide for a spiritual life. 30 dollars per person. Pre registration is highly recommended.
