High Intensity Cardio and Yoga Cool Down with Ahmad Mickens and Jen Irwin

  • Please note: this class will be held at Scalzi Park. Meet by the tennis courts at 3:45 and please bring water. Rev up with 45 minutes of Revolution Training’s Total Body Conditioning Class with Ahmad Mickens is designed to work your entire body using a combination of traditional exercises. The class will take place on and around your mat. There is no equipment required- only an open mind and a desire to work your cardiovascular and muscular systems. Once that’s complete, make a seamless transition into part two: 45 minutes of cool-down, stretch and focus Yoga with Jen Irwin. In the event of rain the class will be held at Dew Yoga, 123 High Ridge Road.

Yoga Meets Art with Jen Irwin and Rebecca Stern

  • Ever feel like your creative energy is dormant, blocked, or not as present in your daily life as you would like? Cast aside your fears with this workshop! Awaken your artistic self to get your creative juices flowing as Yoga meets art! Workshop includes a 45 minute Yoga practice suitable for all levels, plus a guided color meditation, led by Jen. After Yoga, we’ll roll up our mats and transition to an exploration of self in the present moment through expressive mandalas and paint play, led by Rebecca Stern. All supplies will be provided, pre-registration is required. This workshop is $45.

NEW 6 Week Class Series: Hula Hooping with Amy Irish!

  • Hula hooping has grown up! Hooping can range from a fun fitness workout, called hoop fit, to a meditative form of self expression, called hoop dance. Amy Irish leads this 6 week class series, every Tuesday from 7:15pm to 8:15pm. Rate is 20 dollars per class plus tax. Please note yoga class cards cannot be used on this class. Guided Meditation for Relaxation: Journey with Your Power Animal

  • Guided Journey Meditation is an amazing relaxation and self inquiry tool. All that is required is the participants are open to the possibilities and suggestions of the guide. Many tribal cultures work with power animals help to connect to nature and believe that the qualities of the animal may bring us subtle insight into our own lives for personal wellness and healing. On this journey, we will use Steven Farmer’s Power Animal deck and tribal beat to meet a power animal and experience a fun and deeply relaxing meditation. This class is by donation and open to all.

Acupuncture Stress Relief and Fundraising Clinic with Mark Gutkin

  • Auricular acupuncture is based on the understanding that the body’s structures are represented on the outer ear. Used for thousands of years, this method of acupuncture can relieve stress, help treat pain and addictions as well as aid in recovery. Today the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association’s 5 needle treatment protocol is widely used in helping patients suffering from stress related disorders, as well as victims of trauma or natural disasters. In this introductory clinic, each participant will receive a 20 minute auricular treatment while seated comfortably. Calm your mind, increase productivity and more with this ancient Chinese healing technique. Reservations are not required and walk ins are welcome between 6 and 8. Y12SR at Dew Yoga

  • Y12SR is a holistic approach to recovery support. It is a class in which we weave together the ancient wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12 step programs. We recognize that the issues live in the tissues, and through a group sharing circle followed by an intentional themed yoga class incorporating asana, breath work and mindfulness we invoke the higher power of our understanding to help us release whatever is held. These classes are inclusive for all levels and anyone dealing with their own addictive behaviors of any kind, or affected by those in others. It will deepen any work that participants may currently be doing or jump start the journey of self-discovery. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, as this is a donation based class. The suggested donation is 12 dollars per person. Donations are split evenly between the instructor, studio overhead, and a charity.

  • Set yourself free and experience your body in a whole new way as you learn to release stress and accumulated tension in the lower back, hips, rib cage, and shoulders. Join Rita Trieger as she expertly guides you towards deep surrender using gentle yoga stretches coupled with the magic of the Miracle Ball Method. Muscles are gently kneaded, massaged, and soothed, allowing bones and joints to realign, and muscles and soft tissue to absorb oxygen, triggering deep relaxation and healing. You’ll notice improvements in sleep habits and energy levels, as well as with your yoga practice. Pre registration is required and space is limited to 15 people. Cost is 35 dollars per person.
