Partner Thai Yoga Part 2 with Robert

  • Partner Thai Yoga Part 2 for those who have attended any of the first workshops. Partners learn how to move and stretch one another into healing and delightful Yoga postures.

$40 per person. This form of bodywork is usually performed on the floor, and the participants wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement. Thai yoga can be traced as far back as 2,500 years, and has its roots in the ancient healing traditions of Ayurveda. Robert Ortner leads this experience for duos of all kinds: friends, life mates, siblings, neighbors, you can even stretch your boss. No Yoga experience is necessary, only a desire to give and receive Yoga.

In Partner Prenatal Yoga with Dale Rowley learn the poses that are safe for all trimesters of pregnancy. We will increase both partners strength, flexibility, energy, and stamina. Learn breathing techniques useful for labor, delivery and stress reduction throughout pregnancy. Our focus will be on breath, movement, relaxation, and bonding with baby and partner. Learn the physical, emotional and mental benefits of pranayama, review
basic breathing – dirgha and ujjayii, learn kappalabhati with the
bandhas (energetic locks), and a take home breath practice you can use
every day for meditation or asana practice. Some experience of 3-part
breath is expected. These techniques may not be appropriate if you have
had recent surgery or injuries in the abdominal or thoracic regions,
uncontrolled high blood pressure or are pregnant. Co-taught by Jen and
Jeff. $30/person, please register in advance. Two karma recipient spaces available, contact Jen.

Inversions Workshop with Corti

We will adventure into or fine tune your headstand, forearm balance, handstand and shoulderstand. Learn the Five Tibetan Rites

  • A Summer Sunday Special, September 18th at 5:45pm. Learn the Five Tibetan Rites, an ancient system of exercise used by Tibetan Monks to keep their bodies healthy and purified. The Five T’s will be followed by a warm vinyasa flow and sweet savasana. Regular drop-in fee or class card punch apply.
